Elk Electrical is largely a service based company and we pride ourselves in being polite, well presented and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. This is something we strive to provide across all aspects of our work.
This particular role will be predominantly within our service and small projects division. Work includes;
- Testing, reporting and fault finding on residential homes, appliances, Air conditioners and solar systems. Including those damaged by fire and flood events.
- General light and power disconnect/make safe and installation works.
- Maintenance and new builds within schools and commercial establishments, i.e. cafes, breweries.
- TV, communication and automation.
- Switchboard upgrades and replacements.
- Occasional cross over within our projects division. We currently have multiple high end residential projects on the Gold Coast, up and coming home reinstatement works following the recent flood event in South East Queensland and Northern NSW and a commercial project starting towards the end of the year.

Who are we looking for?
- Strong knowledge of the Australian Standards AS/NZS3000 and have the desire to follow them by practicing safe electrical work at all times.
- A proactive approach and problem solving mindset.
- Take pride in themselves and the work they perform.
- A friendly and outgoing person with a genuine customer focus committed to treating all customers with respect and honesty.
- Come to work with a positive attitude ready to help support the rest of the team.
- Great time management skills.
- A good set of tools for the job.
- Previous use of simPRO would be an advantage.
- Solar, security or air-conditioning experience would be an advantages
Your role and responsibility will consist of
- Service and maintenance electrical work.
- General electrical disconnect/reconnect work to facilitate building work and reinstatement work of flood affected homes.
- Maintaining strong communications with office staff and customers.
- Completing daily task notes and photos on simPRO.
- After hours emergency roster participation.
- Assist with project based electrical work on large residential homes on the Gold Coast.
- The ability to understand all aspects of a residential project from start to finish.
